How to play Starburst

How a standard Starburst round plays out

1. Pick a stake in INR. The classic build keeps all 10 paylines fixed, so the only number you set is the bet per spin — typically ₹10 to ₹8,000 depending on the casino.
2. Press Spin. The 5x3 grid evaluates winning lines both left to right and right to left thanks to the Win Both Ways mechanic.
3. Regular symbol wins pay the highest line outcome only, so overlapping line results don't stack on top of each other for the same set of symbols.
4. If a Starburst wild lands on reel 2, 3 or 4, it expands to fill the entire reel and triggers a free respin with that reel locked.
5. Any new Starburst wild that lands during the respin also expands, also locks in place, and adds another respin — up to a maximum of three locked middle reels in a row.
6. The respin chain ends when no further wild lands. Wins are credited to your balance and a fresh paid spin can begin.

The Starburst wild is the entire feature set

The Starburst symbol is the only real event in the classic game. It substitutes for every paying symbol, only appears on reels 2, 3 and 4, expands vertically to fill the reel, and then holds in place while the other reels respin. That is why the session can feel lively without free spins or a bonus round: every feature event uses the same simple reel set, in the same base game, with no mode switch.

What Starburst does not have matters just as much. There is no scatter symbol, no separate free-spins mode, no jackpot meter, no bonus buy and no megaways mechanic. What the paytable actually pays

The paytable splits into two groups. The lower group is four classic gem symbols — green, blue, purple and orange — plus the lucky number 7 and the BAR. The higher group is the white star, which pays for three matched symbols rather than five. The Starburst wild is not a paying symbol on its own; its value comes from the respin chain and from completing lines that would otherwise just miss.

The numbers shown on the paytable always scale to your current bet. A 5x gem hit at ₹10 per spin pays a different rupee figure to the same hit at ₹500 per spin, but the multiplier on the paytable stays identical.
